TESTIMONIALS

"Our daughter just finished her first intensive and we couldn’t be happier with the support and care she got from the staff and all the therapists that worked with her. One of our main goals for her was improving her balance and she made huge gains. It made our hearts sing to see her improve each day from the fun, but challenging sessions. We will definitely be coming back again!"

"The staff at the Centre for development was simply the best. They took the time to listen to our goals for our daughter and cared deeply about her progress each day. We did a 3 week intensive therapy and we’re so glad we did! She left with the skills needing to walk and has been doing so ever since we returned home! It would’ve taken us months to get the progress we got in the 3 weeks we spent in Calgary."

"Words cannot express how grateful and thankful we are for the Canadian Center for Development in Calgary!! #simplythebest
Our Miss Kate (2) was born with a very rare novo genetic condition (causing cognitive and developmental delays) but she has managed to make huge gains over the 11 weeks (3 different intensives between April 2023-Sept 2024).
The entire team worked so hard (Physio, OT, massage and admin staff) to help Kate learn and grow!
She literally couldn’t or we felt like she didn’t even know she actually had hands and now she’s grabbing, playing, trying to feed herself.
She went from not having head control to sitting independently (on the hypervibe) for 2.5 mins!
She would lift her feet when you would try and stand her now with support she’s learned to push though her legs and stand.
They took the time to ensure we felt comfortable and well practiced with hands on teaching so we could continue the exercises at home in between intensives.
Kate quickly bonded with the staff and would flash the biggest smiles and she enjoyed ALL the cuddles.
The team was so patient with Kate- last April she didn’t tolerate much - anything would trigger breath holding spells and she cried A LOT!! Now she’s interacting with her world, she can tolerate all different types of experiences with a smile on her face! Not only has her quality of life improved but our entire family’s quality of life has as well!!
We are excited to continue the therapy journey in November and 6 more times next year !! Yes I said 6!!! This is how much I trust and support this centre for our little one!
The staff are life long learners - many continue to add more and more training to their resumes and the centre hosted one of Canada’s top Physio from Toronto for a week in September to train with the physiotherapist (lucky timing for us)!!
I’m a rural RN from BC with over 14 years experience and I cannot say this enough (both as a mother and as a nurse) - RUN don’t walk to this amazing place!!
If you’re not sure your child needs some extra support just book the phone call and find out! You won’t know if you don’t ask!
The team will support and guide you! Don’t have the funds ?- There are grants and other funding sources available!! (The team can direct you to some)
If you’re still not sure follow Kate on her journey @jessie_mclellan02 on Instagram and you can see from the videos the difference from April to September!
